CBA Director/Founder : Jason Shea, Head Basketball Coach of Notre Dame West Haven

I founded Connecticut Basketball Academy after helping a friend coach his sons AAU team in 2015. I was frustrated with what I saw in terms of quality control, coaching professionalism and a misguided hyper-focused mentality by programs on winning weekend “championships”. I started CBA to counter that culture and build a program focused on player development and professionalism. We are competitive and strive to win, but we measure our success on our players having a great experience and improving their skills every time they enter a gym with a CBA coach.
